J.B. & A. Maxfield, Milwaukee, WI 6 Gallon Butter Churn Decorated With A Heart

 Here is a very crudely decorated butter churn from J.B.&A Maxfield, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  This churn appears to be decorated by a child with the crudeness of it's design and a backwards 4 to top it off.  It is truly one of Maxfields more folk art type decorations.  There are no other pieces known that share this decoration.  From the Jon Steiner Collection.
